Secondary infertility - did they ever find out why?

I had my first baby nearly four years ago—conceived naturally and super easily. Gave birth vaginally (not a C-section), though it was an instrumental delivery.

Now, I’ve been trying for baby #2 for almost two years. I’m 30, have recently done a few rounds of IVF, so I have some euploid embryos, but I’m not sure what direction to take with testing. My doctor isn’t keen on doing the Emma or Alice tests or even treating an infection with antibiotics if Fertilysis finds one—he just recommends probiotics. He also says it’s just a numbers game with euploid transfers and that uterine issues are rare, but reading posts on here makes me think otherwise.

For my fellow secondary infertility gals, did they ever find a reason? Since we’ve already conceived and had a baby once, it seems even more of a mystery.

My 1st I conceive very easy 7 years ago, 3 rounds of ivf later I now know it's my terrible egg quality that has caused my infertility! And I'm only 32 which makes it all more frustrating

@Clocloxx that's for replying!! How do you know it's terrible egg quality?

On one protocol we got terrible embryos.
Then we did four more rounds of a different protocol and got very good rates of fertilisation and blasts to euploids.

So I'm not sure if naturally I have good egg quality because on one protocol it was really bad and on another it was great. So is that the first protocol ruining a naturally very good quality, or if the first protocol a representation of my actually egg quality and the second (maybe because the second had growth hormone?) somehow "improved" it?

@sotif i didn’t . I’m 38 now but was 34 when we started trying. I got pregnant with my dc first try age 32. I didn’t expect to have problems conceiving a second but here we are.

I know how upsetting and frustrating it is not to get an answer as to why it isn’t happening. At least if you know what the reason is they can treat it. IVF did work for me though (so far as I am 20 weeks). And I got 2 euploids and the first stuck.
