Hi everyone,

This is a bit of a desperate message—a bottle thrown into the sea for anyone who might relate or have a similar story to share. I’m giving myself one last shot, one last hope, with a potential cycle at ARGC.

Here’s my journey so far:

About Me:
• 35 years old, TTC since 2020, never got pregnant
• Premature ovarian failure (AMH 0.7)
• Endometriosis and adenomyosis
• 1 laparoscopy to remove ovarian cysts and adhesions
• Another surgery (segmental bowel resection) for severe endometriosis

My IVF History:
Cycle 1 (ICSI):
• 8 eggs collected, 5 fertilized
• 1 day-3 low-grade embryo transferred - BFN

Began supplements (omega 3, vitamin D, myo-inositol, vitamin E, magnesium, CoQ10, folic acid, etc.)

Cycle 2 (ICSI):
• 14 eggs collected, 11 fertilized
• 1 blastocyst frozen (OHSS delayed transfer)
• Planned transfer canceled as the embryo didn’t survive the thaw

New Clinic:
Cycle 3 (ICSI):
• 11 eggs collected, 8 fertilized
• 1 low-grade blastocyst transferred - BFN

Cycle 4 (ICSI):
• 8 eggs collected, 6 fertilized
• 2 low-grade day-3 embryos transferred -BFN

It seems my egg quality is the issue, as the embryos consistently stop developing after day 2. It’s a heartbreaking pattern, and I’ve almost lost hope. But then there are moments when I feel a glimmer of determination to try one last time.

To anyone who has been treated at ARGC:
Do you think I might have better chances there, given my history?

I’ve been a silent reader for a long time, and I’ve ached and rejoiced alongside so many of your posts. Today, I decided to finally share my story.

Thank you for reading ♥️

@GyozaP I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I don't have any advice concerning ARGC. But I've seen in online forums that endometriosis affects egg quality. So dealing with endometriosis may help you improve your egg quality. There is also a facebook group called "Endometriosis + IVF support UK". Maybe some ladies in that group will have some advice in this regard?

Also, both endometriosis and adenomyosis can affect embryo transfer result. It seems that a frozen transfer might work better than a fresh one. One approach that's often done is to down regulate for 2 to 3 months before embryo transfer to calm down endo and adeno. If you search online for endo/adeno down regulation ivf, you will find discussions on this in various forums. Lots of people seemed to have had success following this approach.

I wish you lots of luck no matter what you choose to do next. xx
