How long did IVF take you? (If it worked in the end).

We did IVF for secondary infertility (unexplained but years of nothing). We were very lucky and it all worked first time with a fresh cycle! I was 34.

We have a few embryos left and we always wonder about if and when to use them. What’s the likelihood of it happening first fine again especially as I would be late thirties? Would I get through all 4?just looking for experiences and what is likely.

Hi OP, my experience: MFI due to low morphology but used ICSI to overcome this. Age 33-34 it’s taken 3 FETs and I’m now 25 weeks pregnant, 1st worked the MMC at 9 weeks (they think due to embryo abnormality), second was BFN.

I spent from age 31-33 banking embryos due to low AMH - ended up with 7 (untested) from 5 rounds so we have 4 left. We’re hoping to get a second DC from those but we recognise this may not happen for us.

good luck!

@Lelophants what matters is age at embryo creation, not age at transfer. You could use these mid 40s even. So with 4 embryos from a 34 year old you have an excellent chance of bringing home another baby. Whether the first transfer works will be down to luck. So good luck!
