Hello! Just creating a thread to see if there are any fellow IVF cyclers this Jan that are up for sharing info and supporting each other through this rollercoaster!

just had first scan after 7 days of stims. Had 17 follicles at the baseline scan, 13 at this scan of which four are above 10mm. They’re upping the Merifert now from 150 to 225. Fingers crossed that helps!

I have a thin lining which I’m a bit worried about, it’s currently at 4.6mm.

grateful for any stories or shared experiences!

xx

Hey @daisyjones03 hope you're finding the IVF rollercoasyer OK so far! Do you have an expected egg collection date yet?

I did 2 rounds of egg collection in September and October and am planning for a frozen embryo transfer now. My lining was pretty thin for a while on both cycles but picked up after I'd been on the meds for a while (my 1st round was 300 ovaleap and 2nd 450 menopur) and the higher dosage of drugs helped my lining got there - I'd always planned FET anyway as we did PGT-A Testing, but just in case that's useful to hear! I did stims for 11 days in the 1st round and i think 14-16 in the 2nd.

Good luck, hope you're feeling OK on the drugs so far!

Thanks so much for sharing!

I hadn’t heard of PGT-A testing, sounds fascinating! I might look into that some more as have had a couple of pregnancy losses

Egg collection currently scheduled in for Wednesday. Drugs have been ok so far but it sounds like I’m on a very low dose compared to others!

I wish you the best of luck with your FET! How you feeling about it?

xx

@daisyjones03 thanks, feeling nervous! Having a scan tomorrow to see if my lining has got to the right level, so there's a chance it won't go ahead this time if it hasn't. I get so nervous for the scans!

Yeah we mainly wanted to do IVF for the pgt-a testing, we have had a known chromosomal issue previously and a chemical... plus its been 2 years nearly since we started TTC and banking tested embryos seemed the best way to give us a chance of a 2nd kid (hopefully!!) as I'm in my late 30s. I know the NHS don't usually offer it as its not necessary for everyone, and its expensive to have privately unfortunately

Good luck with your collection, great that you're on lower drugs! Hope it goes really well x

Hi, I’m on day 3 of first time stims (Meriofert) and egg collection provisionally scheduled for 18th and scan on 12th. Does anyone know if it’s common for the egg collection date to have to be moved back and more stims or if usually the stims let you go ahead with the original date? I really had my hopes up for the calendar they gave me but reading lots of cases where collection is postponed as scan shows ovaries didn’t respond well enough to stims 🥺
