Hello

I am due to start ivf for a 2nd baby, my first was conceived (naturally) after many years ttc and now we are going down the ivf route for number 2. Is anyone else in this position?

@Timetotryagain @Happibara @CharlFF thank you all so much for your kind replies!

Husband and I had a big old chat about everything yesterday and decided we'd give it til March which will be a year of trying and then take the plunge with initial IVF testing and consultations....

My period is due on Weds and I don't know what came over me but I then suddenly had an urge to test one of the Easy@home strips... and... BFP... 😱

Hello Ladies, how are you all doing?

@ALM2207 Congratulations, you're officially one of these magical "conceived just before going IVF route" couples we've all read about! 💖
I hope you have a joyful pregnancy and are feeling well.

@CharlFF how are you feeling in the TWW? When is your test date and are you planning to test early?

I'm starting stims this evening, can't wait.

Had my Prostap injection on Wednesday. It was very stressful (I needed to mix the powder with dilutant and inject with very short time window, big syringe, big needle, small hands...) I was so stressed over doing it right that the actual injection barely registered 😁

And luckily, compared to that, the stims will be SO easy with their tiny needles and injection pen!

@Stillwinston would you mind sharing how the process was for you prior to your EC? How did you feel, and how were you monitored?

And also, how are you feeling now, have all your OHSS symptoms gone away?

My clinic seems to do the bare minimum in terms of monitoring i.e. scans every other day, and I'm worried that 2 of these are scheduled before and after the weekend... Already imagining the eggs being not quite ready for trigger on Friday and past their best on Monday 😅

Hi all,

Been a while since I checked on here and lots of exciting things seems to have happened - congratulations for being PUPO @CharlFF hope the TWW isn't driving you insane!

I found most of the stims process pretty easy until the end @Happibara - however I definitely felt it just before EC, at my last scan the technician said that I'd developed 'kissing ovaries' which was why I was feeling it particularly on one side. I didn't actually have that many scans during the process, I started BC 21 days before my period and then on day 2 I began meriofert, pretty sure I went for 1 scan 6 days later and then started the fyremadel. My OHSS took a good 2 weeks to shift so I'm pretty glad I'm on a freeze all now tbh. How are you getting on with everything?

And congratulations @ALM2207 I hope your pregnancy is smooth sailing from here on out

@Happibara and @Stillwinston thank you so so much! Absolutely delighted but these first few weeks are slowwwww

Wishing everyone huge luck and love and baby dust xxxx

@Timetotryagain I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread but I'm going through the same thing and starting IVF in 2 months if I don't fall naturally (unlikely ha). I got pregnant very quickly 1st time so its all abit of a shock.
