I wonder I'd anyone has done IVF abroad? It would be lovely to talk to someone who has been through it and maybe suggest clinics, we were looking at Cyprus but happy to look anywhere. We have previously had ivf with icsi (male factor) back in 2015 through the NHS which resulted in our wonderful daughter and we would love to extend our family as we know fertility treatment is our only option.

Hi,

Name change here, I was FireFire. Still no pregnancy for me, we did one round with Gennet in Prague last year with two failed transfers and we've done one more round this year. We only got one embryo this time so I'm just in the process of gearing up for a FET next month.

How are getting on? Are you just looking into options about IVF abroad?

I don't think I would recommend Gennet tbh. There are definite pros in that it's very accessible, affordable and it's a big clinic with a longstanding reputation. But with me they made a mistake with the drug protocol for my first round and I often have to chase to get a reply to my emails. Once it took them 3 months to get back to me! There's also not a lot of TLC from them, which wasn't a priority when we were looking into clinics but this far down the line has started to bother me a bit. They just don't seem very proactive about anything and don't really explain things very well.

Hi, I’m so sorry to read your story. A friend of mine also had a bad experience with a Polish clinic, they actually missed her Hashimoto’s. She eventually moved to a clinic in the Czech Republic, where they diagnosed it correctly, and she was successful on her second attempt.
Unfortunately, I don’t think you can assume that every IVF clinic abroad is a good one. I really like the YT channel Behind IVF Clinic Door because you can actually see the labs, how they work and their approach to patients.
I would definitely combine that with as much research as possible. I think the more you look into a clinic, the better chance you have of finding one that’s a good fit for you.
Also, although the 7 questions to ask a clinic article on eggdonationfriends is quite old now, I still think it’s one of the best guides for knowing what to ask a clinic and what information to look for.I really hope you find the right clinic for you. Wishing you lots of luck! xx
