Private consultation as NHS referral bounced back

Hi everyone,

Me and my husband have been TTC for 19 going on 20 months. We’ve had all the necessary tests with the GP (I’ve had blood tests and an internal ultrasound & my husband has had 2 SA).

We were at first told we were being referred due to the results from both SA but have since found out the referral bounced back and we have to wait until we’ve been trying for 2 years for the referral to go through.

I’ve been thinking about getting advice/a second opinion from the fertility clinic my husband has had his testing at. I feel totally fed up as one minute we were told we’d need help and the next we have to wait two years! Our GP has been totally useless.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice on this?

I have heard that it is guidelines that you need to have been activity trying for two years it seems a shame as you are so close
i have also heard from a few people across the country that if you ever went ahead with private treatment that you can loose the right so to speak for any nhs funded ivf x

My advice would be to get a private hyfosy

We paid 515 gbp
For private hyfosy

Private hyfosy = much faster than wait 4 NHS one

If the results of that showed tubes blocked on your side - nhs may help you faster

Always good to get them checkd
