FET 3BC Euploid and cycle 3 PGT-M

This is a long one, so please please stick with me and read (if you have the time) xx

Hi everyone, so we have had two rounds of PGT-M completed and starting our third in Jan. First round we had an embryo that was 3BC and euploid but had my husbands condition- they didn’t destroy it as the condition is one that doesn’t affect your life quality, just increases certain risks. Second round gave us less eggs (from 14 in cycle 1 to 5 in cycle 2) no idea why but cycle 2 produced an embryo 3AB- but it had chromosomal issues and was destroyed. Will try again for round three - on proceive max, 400g coq10 and strong folic acid to help my eggs (I’m 40 next year and have a low AMH of 13.8) they have said if we don’t get any luck in round 3 they will do an FET with our 3BC.

Basically, I feel so rubbish and so alone at the moment, and I was hoping someone could give me some hope that cycle 3 might be better or different than cycle 2 and more in line with cycle 1 and if not, are there any success stories for a 3BC FET? I’m so low and I’m fed up with this journey, I can’t take much more and I need some hope. Nearly twenty eggs across two rounds, 11 fertilised but only 2 made it to day 5 and ones been destroyed. I really need some hope and this group was lovely last time xx

also, fingers crossed that you will all have a beautiful baby or a baby on the way next year - we are in this together xx

@mummyofnone first off, I'm really sorry you've had such a rough journey until now.

Second of all is there anything your clinic are prepared to do to change your next protocol for round three? Your amh is similar to mines (14.8) and my clinic described it as 'decent' so I don't think that's a particular worry. Did you do icsi?

Also from what my clinic have told me they can't afford to freeze embryos that don't stand a good chance so presumably they are happy with the grade they have frozen.

Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Hi, so sorry you are going through this, I have also just had my 3rd round and awaiting testing results, so I understand your frustration and pain. I can also say that you AMH is good for your age, I am 41 and my AMH was 11.7 which they said was good, so please don’t worry about AMH, I think the average for 0.7-22.2 so you are in the middle which is good!!

yes I think the grading doesn’t matter so much on the embryos, I have researched religiously on my past cycles and transfers and have heard lots of stories of people having success with their lower grade embryos rather than higher grades.

keeping my fingers crossed for you! Keep your chin up and wishing you all the best 💫🧡

Thank you so much for your kind words- that does give me hope, I am just so scared that all my hopes are on this little one and that they won’t defrost or take- I can’t believe how hard this has all been x

I’m so pleased you had success and have a beautiful baby, hope you’re having the best time as a mummy xx

(ps sorry for the delay to my response- I didn’t see any of the replies 🤦🏽‍♀️)

They keep saying my AMH is on the lower side- they put me on the long protocol to down reg and have said that they need to keep doing this to give me the best chance. I was on syneral for the down reg but they said they will try prostop this time as there is a shortage of syneral. Otherwise, staying as I was - I just don’t understand how I went from SO many on the first round to so few (and a defective one) blaming my age and my overall health. I’m taking coq10 and the strong folic acid to help but I’m giving up hope

Yep, with PGT they have to do ICSI but they found a problem with my husbands sperm so they wash it first (as it sticks together)

they said a 3BC isn’t the best but it’s a euploid so has a good chance (and they have seen success stories with those of a worse grade)

im just finding it so hard to stay positive and I’m so scared x

thanks for taking the time to message- I’m sorry I took so long to reply- I didn’t see your response xx

Thank you so much- I just don’t know why it’s been so different between two consecutive rounds and it’s making me feel hopeless for round 3- what if it just declines and declines? What’s the point

I know they said this would be hard, but this is so tough

thank you for your positivity and your support, it means a lot to me x I’m sorry for the late reply- I didn’t get any notifications that you replied x

@mummyofnone are they increasing the dose of your stims this time around? I got 7 eggs and they said they would up my dose if we had to go again.
I did the long protocol as well and downregulated with decapeptyl. Currently prepping for a frozen transfer and have a lot of fear as well....its such a tough journey.
