IVF Cervical Discharge Change

I’m looking for some advice. I’ve got myself worried sick 🥺
I’m now on day 12 of stims…slow grower. On day 9 I had to increase my dose to 450iu and I suddenly had an increase in egg white cervical mucus. I was panicking because it was around that time I would have been ovulating naturally. Now tonight…that discharge has changed to white and creamy. Has anyone else had this change? I feel like this can’t be a good sign. I could cry. Not sure if it’s stress or all of the hormones lol

Couldn't read and not reply! I had this and all was fine 🙂 I've heard from others that it's quite common and due to all the hormones rather than ovulation. Please try not to worry. I was terrified I was going to ovulate before egg collection but it was fine! Hope you can get some rest tonight

@GingerFox88 Hey! I’m in same boat - day 12 stims, 450iu stims, poor response and YES to the awful CM! My clinic said completely normal, just the hormones x

Hi, same as the person above. This is totally normal. I was also paranoid about ovulating too early. This is why they check your blood, they’re checking your LH level to make sure you don’t. Don’t worry, you can’t control all these little things and honestly the anxiety isn’t worth it as the likelihood of view ovulating early is very low. Easier said than done I know!

Thanks so much for your replies everyone. I’m just worried the egg white discharge has now gone and it’s now creamy which is none fertile, but feel reassured that you have experienced this too. This whole situation is so stressful isn’t it 🥲

@ivfjourneyandme oh so our journeys are similar. My largest follicle at the minute is 14mm, the rest are around 12mm. If you don’t mind me asking how big are yours? When are they thinking of doing egg collection?

I have a leading one at 17.9mm and two at 12mm. One under 10 and rest teeny tiny.

I have another scan Wednesday (day 14 of stims). No real mention of collection yet!! What about you?

@ivfjourneyandme I’m similar. 4 follicles on my right and they couldn’t even find my left ovary yesterday which I thought was typical.
They have mentioned Friday for egg collection, but like you I’m back tomorrow for another scan to see what’s happening.

@GingerFox88 is this your first round? Is for us. I’m 36, AMH of 1.9pmol and AFC of 3 when started testing. Severe MFI as well so having ICSI (if get as far as collection!)

I’m 36 too! My AMH is 7.2 but I’m not sure what units they’ve measured that in. We’ve got unexplained infertility. We’ve had a failed round which resulted in total fertilisation failure so we’re having ICSI as well. They’re also adding Artificial Oocyte Activation to see if that helps with fertilisation this time.
I think with those measurements you’re pretty close to collection ☺️

I hope so. At one point there were discussions about cancelling the cycle 😞

They said that to me on my first scan after stims. But I think as long as they’re growing it’s all good. It’ll be nice to hear an update tomorrow since we’re at the same stage ☺️

Left: 21.1, 8.1 and 5.4
Right: 4.6, 7.6, 7.7, 8.2, 14.1, 15.7 and 20.8

Nurse reckons Friday for egg collection. They’ve grown so much in last 2 days!

Aww that’s brilliant news. I’m so pleased for you.
I’ve got 7 follicles today and mine have grown loads since Monday too!! Biggest one was 22mm and the smallest was 11mm. It’s crazy.
I’m book in for egg collection Friday as well! Hope everything goes well for you on Friday ☺️

Haha yes we are! I’m sure they continue to grow after the trigger so they still have a few more days ☺️

Yes I’m using the trigger shot tonight. I’ve been given 10,000iu of Zivafert.

I’m petrified for the egg collection - hate anything medical so IVF has been a battle so far but sedation etc is pushing me over the edge 😂

I got really nervous last time (and probably will this time) but then when I was getting sedated I loved it 😂 felt like a warm hug and I was so relaxed.
I felt a little uncomfortable after and a little crampy for a few days but I didn’t find it bad if that puts your mind at rest at all.

I’m a little tender but not much. Was the retrieval itself okay? I felt a little pain/pressure but nothing much xx
