Poor fertilisation with donor eggs & sperm

My 5th round of icsi using donor eggs and donor sperm - out of 12 eggs, only 3 fertilised. Waiting for day 5 now where embryologist has said they hope for 1 embryo to transfer. I’m at a complete loss.
Why has fertilisation been so poor. They had expected 7-8 to fertilise and said both eggs and sperm looked good.
My first 3 icsi cycles were my eggs (no issues) and husbands sperm (known issues). 4th cycle was my eggs and donor sperm, 2 failed transfers.
Can’t quite believe we’re not getting anywhere using both donors. It cost us £14k.

So sorry to hear that. I completely get how frustrating it is when donor cycles fail. This year I transferred 5 embryos created with donor eggs and all failed. While donor cycles have much higher rates, they do not have 100 percent success rate and somebody got to be in the 10 percent category where it doesn't work. Hope you get to transfer at least one and it sticks 🍀
