Low amh and high dose stims

Hi all, I'm about to start my 4th ivf attempt. Had my amh done and it came back at 5.2, afc is 10 and I'm 36. I'm going to be stimming with 450 meriofert and a double trigger. Also estrogen priming prior to the cycle. Anyone been through anything similar? I've moved my treatment to manchester fertility.

Following this with interest.

On my first IVF cycle, started on 300iu ovaleap, increased to 450iu. Scan on Monday to see if can proceed or a cancelled cycle.

My AMH is 1.9, AFC 3. 36yo. Annoyed I wasn’t started higher!

How have your previous cycles gone?

My first cycle i was on 150 bemfola
I got 5 eggs but only 3 fertilised normally. One was transfered on day 3 but bfn, the other discarded. 2nd cycle i was on 225 gonal f and got 5 eggs again but none suitable for transfer. 3rd cycle i was on 15ui of rekovelle and got 6 eggs. On made it to a poor grade blast but was transferred on day 5. Had a chemical from that one. It is exhausting.

Thank you. It is exhausting and mentally draining. Me and my other half have bickered more these last 10 days than the whole 2.5 years of our relationship 😞

@ivfjourneyandme us too! 5 years barely a cross word and IVF really pushed us 😔 if it helps we have been great again since EC,very much enjoying the break!

My AMH was 6.2 and AFC 9 back when I did my collection in 2020. I had 2 cycles both with 450 meriofert. I ended up with 11 eggs first time but only one blast - BFN then second time exact same protocol I got 15 eggs and 5 good quality blasts. First was a chemical, second is my DD and we have 3 frozen.
So meriofert worked for me in similar AMH/AFC to you! And each round can go completely differently. The other thing that changed between the two rounds was maximising my Vitamin D levels and I was put on levothyroxine to make sure my TSH was below 2.5.

I was between 35 and 36 for the three cycles. My AMH was 4.4pmol when I started but it's now at 1.93pmol. I think the max doses really compromised quality - I only ever got slow developing BCs.

I'm doing my next cycle at a different clinic and priming with oestrogen, HGH, DHEA. I'll be on a lot lower doses - starting with gonal f and then moving to pergoveris. Will be interesting to see the difference - it might be that I don't get any eggs at all, or could be that I do and they're better quality. Time will tell. I've also just had ovarian PRP to try to increase follicles.

Thanks so much for your reply. I've just paid for 4 more cycles with access fertility and I will honestly be so done after this. What does your oestrogen priming entail? Xx

@Nobodyknowsitall5 I don't blame you! I've done 4 cycles (last one being the cancelled one). I'm doing 1 more and that's it I think.

The oestrogen priming is taking progynova 1 week after ovulation until stims which start the next cycle. It's to help hormones and for better follicle growth I believe. It's quite common for low responders.
