Late period after cancelled ivf

Hello all, my long protocol got cancelled as I didn’t respond well to medications sadly. My previous period was on the 25th of Oct. I stopped my FSF on 15th of Nov but haven’t had a period yet. It’s been 21 days since stopping the FSH. Did anyone have this issue after a cancelled cycle? My lining was 3-4 mm on my scan on the 15th which is probably why I haven’t had a period but I thought I would have at least had some sort of spotting. I will be calling my doctor on Monday but thought of asking here in the meantime. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, sorry you e had a cancelled cycle, they suck :(. I’ve had a couple of cancelled cycles. My last one earlier this year I had a lining of 4.9mm and the cycle got cancelled on day 6. Between the day of cancellation and my next period was 30 days.

The one before was cancelled on day 12, lining was 4mm. Between the day of cancellation and my next period was 23 days.

Can I ask why your cycles were cancelled? My clinic is saying mine be cancelled on Monday if follicles haven’t significantly grown. It’s my first attempt and I am so upset at the prospect

Hi @Zypig I am sorry to hear about your cancelled cycles. It really does suck big time 🙁 I hope you have progressed in your journey since then. Thanks a lot for letting me know, that’s really reassuring. @ivfjourneyandme Good luck, I really hope you get positive news on Monday🤞🏽 Mine was cancelled due to poor response. I had 3 very small follicles that didn’t grow any further.

@Wanttobemamma sorry you had your cycle cancelled. I had mine cancelled back in September due to being on long protocol and my ovaries not waking up afterwards. That cycle ended up being 49 days long!! My cycle is normally 26 days so I basically missed an entire period. It's very normal for your cycle to get out of whack after this, especially if your ovaries weren't waking up. I actually also had terrible menopausal symptoms during that time too...... hot flashes, dryness. It was horrible and I couldn't wait for my period to start haha!! But once it started, I was totally back to normal. So don't worry xxx

@Lozzy000 Thank you for you reply. I am sorry you had a cancelled cycle too. I hope you have had a good outcome since then. I am now dreading to do another cycle. My doctor said she will not down regulate this time and do a short cycle. I am thinking if I should go towards natural modified. It’s all so confusing and scary now. Good luck and hope everything goes well for you!

Thanks @Wanttobemamma. I've had PRP this month, will be priming with oestrogen and human growth hormone in December, ready for a Jan cycle. Won't be down regging again!! Good luck with your next cycle too x

@Lozzy000 Oh great, fingers crossed for you. Thank you! No period yet, however I am starting to have cramps that I usually get before my period starts. I called my clinic and they have asked me to come in for a scan tomorrow to see what’s happening. I have a feeling that my period will be here anytime today.
