Pcos/endo symptoms after IVF

Hi all,

I had one very unsuccessful cycle
in May which resulted in a failed transfer and no surviving embryos
Breezed through stims, had a difficult egg collection, awkward transfer but was fine after.

one thing I have noticed is I seem to have reverted to painful periods again, also slight discomfort most days

I’m due to start a new cycle very soon with collection in January.

has anyone noticed worsening symptoms of pcos and or endo after an ivf cycle?

Yes. I did IVF last year and was on high dose stims. I have since had a flare up of my endometriosis, confirmed by scans that it has got worse. They couldn’t say for certain it was the drugs but it seems pretty obvious it was.

@Mumplus01 how did you find the cycle? I had no symptoms during medication

was your cycle successful? If not have you had another and was it any different symptom wise? I’ve got an appt with the clinic tomorrow so I will mention it but just wondering

The cycle was fine, I got bloated on the first day and then it calmed down. It was a high dose though, 375 of Gonal F if memory serves me correctly. Was in a lot of pain the day after egg collection but that eased off.

We were lucky enough to fall pregnant with the second transfer and have some more of we decide to try again. I must admit I have already decided I couldn’t do another round as my endometriosis is very severe and I don’t want to worsen it but that’s just personal preference.

What dose were you on? Hopefully they can offer some advice at the next appointment you have.

I was on 150 gonal f - they’ve upped it this cycle to 175 (if I remember rightly) and I’m using fyremadal instead of cetrotide
