Failed FET...feeling so low

Hi all

I have just done a pregnancy test at home (day 5) of my frozen embryo transfer and it's negative. Safe to say I am feeling pretty rubbish.

I am doing IVF due to a genetic condition. I froze my embryos after I turned 38 and got 4 euploids (2 of which had the genetic condition) which passed PGT A testing.

On day of transfer my progesterone level was 57 which the nurse said was good. My lining was 8. something but then compacted to 7 which the doctor said was fine.

I am looking for any advice. My first thought is to do another round of embryo freezing.

I have never tried to be pregnant before but my AHM was 16 and I had 20+ follicles when they looked a few weeks ago.

I'm just so so sad. Any suggestions for next steps would be greatly appreciated !

Hi, I wouldn’t count yourself out just yet, day 5 is still early days. And your AMH is not bad at all, mine is 11 and I did get pregnant after my third FET (doesn’t mean it won’t work first time for you though). I’m also 38. It’s great that you got 4 euploids too. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, your conditions seem to be quite good. But if this one fails then you can definitely do another FET.

Thank you so much for the positive comment, it's give me some hope :)

Did you change anything for your third FET?

No problem, keeping everything crossed for you. No, we didn’t. First FET was an early miscarriage, so we knew it could work. Second didn’t work and third is going well so far (16 weeks pregnant). This was our sibling round, we have a daughter already from our first round of IVF 3 years ago and that’s when we implemented diet, supplement and lifestyle changes, based on It Starts With The Egg x

Wow you have been through so much. Congrats on your current pregnancy. I will be reading that book! Thanks so much for the recommendation.

In my first FET round I had a positive on day 5 (which resulted in my daughter) but in my current pregnancy from my second FET I didn't get a positive until day 7 -- and even then it was the faintest squinter until the official test date.

I hope it's worked for you this time- but if not I hope it's not long before you get your positive <3

How are you doing OP? I'm not far behind you. I'm day 7 today with a BFN from my 5AA. It's so so tough.
