Hello everyone, I wanted to share my story from thinking I was broken and not being able to get pregnant, to now actually being pregnant! I was reading so many threads at MN to try find hope during the past 4 years and now I'd like to share some of my own hope, maybe it can be of help to someone.

So me and my husband have tried to get pregnant for our first baby for 4 years, the monthly sex way, but also IVF, with no hint of a positive line. I have endometriosis, something which wasn't confirmed until just before my 4th IVF round, even though I've tried to get it diagnosed for 10+ years..

Each IVF round has had poor results even though we got a good number of eggs each time, we only manage to get 2 blastocysts from 3 rounds of egg collection. The embryos just didn't seem to develop well after day 3. One cycle we got nothing for transfer and the other two resulted in BFN. The Dr at the clinic blamed it on my age.

I turned 41 and felt so depressed about it all but we had one more IVF round paid for so we decided to change the medication from Gonal f to Menopur in this final round. I also read a study about NMN and fertility in mice, so a few months before the final round I started taking NMN. I don't know if it was the Menopur or the NMN but in this round I got a BFP and 3 blastocysts for the freezer. I still can't quite believe it and it's early days in the pregnancy but feel like this result was wildly different from when we started IVF one year ago so just wanted to share it!

Thank you and congratulations!

Where did you get the NMN from? Also, do you know if it’s the same as NAD+? Have been taking NAD but now wondering if i should take NMN too.

thanks again

@Arundel8 Thank you so much!
Yeah I think that basically NMN transforms to NAD+ in the body, but I'm not sure which one is the best to take tbh or if it's useful to take both. I took the NMN because that's what they gave the mice :) I got the NMN from Vivanmn online xx

Hi @Loulou543, Thanks so much for sharing your experience and congrats!! You must be so excited. :)
I'm 41 too so this is very encouraging to hear. I've never heard of NMN before but I'll look into it now!

@BelleCrescent Thank you, yes I'm sooo excited, just thought it might never happen! I think generally people use NMN for anti-aging properties, but the study on the mice is very specific so thought it was worth a go x
