Hiya ! My egg collection provisionally booked for 10th Jan and then they said my frozen transfer might not be until April ( I am at risk of OHSS so have to do frozen )
So frustrating it's another 5 months !

How are you feeling?

Hi, my clinic has Christmas closures so to save the stress of transfer day falling on a day they are closed, anyone after a certain date has been pushed to January. I am annoyed but it is what it is and I guess it’s something to get us through a month that can be miserable!

Mseddy · 16/11/2024 09:38

I'm waiting to be booked in and my consultant last week said he was sure the nurses were booking for January/February cycles. I've had to wait for some bloods to come back though so it's delayed us getting booked in. Really hoping it's January! Should find out this week coming. We might end up being cycle buddies :)

@Rebekah77 ah I think I'll try to be good around Christmas but still enjoy myself. I'm not drinking at the moment so won't be doing that so close but I love a sweet treat.

Do you mind me asking why you have to go for IVF

Rebekah77 · 17/11/2024 06:27

Morning lovely

@Anniekent1 both tubes blocked with endo and one ovary tethered with endo / completely unreachable

I’ll have to weigh a couple more times at clinic I’m gonna make a yummy stash for after surgery 😂😃

@Rebekah77 oh I'm sorry to hear that for you. We have severe MFI so have to go straight to IVF ICSI.

Yeah the weigh ins are never fun. Although am I enjoying the healthier dinners and stuff but those sweet treats are my weakness 😂 feel so close now though after all this waiting. Booked in my med delivery and still hasn't really sunk in

Rebekah77 · 17/11/2024 06:33

Fingers crossed for you lovely

my meds are delivered last November !! Just hoping they are all ok still

Eurgh you all sound like you’re going through a hard time. I’m unexplained. Had a failed FET in September xx

Mseddy · 17/11/2024 08:49

That's a long time to have your meds sitting around, how come you got them so long ago? Fingers crossed they are all ok.
@Anniekent1 we had ICSI for male factor and I've got low AMH as well. We are very lucky that we have a 3year old DD from our second round and this cycle will be a FET for a sibling hopefully.

Anniekent1 · 17/11/2024 09:21

@Mseddy oh I am so glad to hear you have had previous success. Hopefully that will continue with your 2nd transfer. Was that just the first round you did 3 years ago ?
Do you have any other embroys ?

Mseddy · 17/11/2024 15:53

Thank you @Anniekent1 we had a round in 2019 which didn't go very well and we only had one embryo to transfer which was a BFN, then covid hit and we got delayed. Ended up with our second round in 2020 which went much better and we got 5 good quality embryos. The first was a chemical and the second is my now DD, so we have 3 remaining. It's unlikely given it's been 4 years and my AMH was only 6 in 2019 that we will be successful with any more rounds, so it's these three frozen or nothing for us. But I'm ok with that I think!

Anniekent1 · 17/11/2024 16:42

Oh I am so pleased you have 3 still remaining hopefully they bring you the same luck from 2020. Did you do anything different from the 2019 to the 2020 round ?

Please keep us updated be nice to be going through it with people who understand ! Xx

Rebekah77 · 17/11/2024 19:18

@Mseddy just been delay after delay think I’ve had 6 schedules and never got to day 1 of stims !

so trying not to be too excited this time!

we will be using icsi too , so expensive but let’s see!

Fingers crossed for everyone else who is waiting
