I’m about to restart the ivf journey and after 3 years of 0 natural periods it has just concerned me that maybe it could affect ivf? Does anyone have the same and had a successful ivf pregnancy? I have pcos and know that being a tad overweight affects my period. But I’m done worrying about weight etc and just want to get on with it as I’m 34 this year

I was irregular but not completely absent. Also overweight with PCOS. Your specialist should give you a medicine to bring menstruation and start a cycle / treatment... Eventually I was successful. It took me time because I have other issues but if you go through private IVF they don't complain about your weight.

@Olivie12 thanks for your reply. That’s how I feel, I feel they are just happy to take my money sadly. I would rather them tell me to stop and try and regulate my period if that would up the likelihood of success. How many transfers did it take for you?

People always say that weight affects but I did keto, lost 20 kilos and didn't help me at all. Had the same number of follicles, eggs and embryos.

It took me more than 10 but at the end it turned out I had immune issues causing recurrent miscarriages but if the first pregnancy were successful it was 5 transfers.
