FETs November 2024

Hi All,

Anyone doing FET transfers this month? Thought it'd be fun and great support to share each others experiences Smile

Bit about about me, 37F & 43M no children and unexplained infertility. We had one failed fresh transfer in Feb. We managed to retrieve 14 eggs from that cycle of which 8 were mature and 7 made it to day 5 blastocysts via ICSI. We now have 6 embryos left.

I have opted for a medicated cycle with a short protocol. Estrodial, cyclogest and Lubion injections for extra progesterone support. I have started spotting today so just waiting for full flow period to start my meds! So excited but yet too afraid to have high hopes!

Hope everybody going through this right now have a smooth journey ahead and baby dust to you all!

Hello 👋 I'm doing a FET this month. I'm doing natural modified so get scans to check lining and then trigger injection and progesterone pessaries. Will be going in next Friday for scan and then possibly embryo transfer 7-10 days after that.

This is my first FET, we had a fresh tranfer 2 years back which was successful. Also unexplained infertility, and have 3 frosties.

BellaRosex · 07/11/2024 12:26

Hiii,

Also 37(f) with no children.

I'm due to start my meds for my second FET (suffered a MC at 5w 5d with my first one). Just need my period to come before I can start the meds too! This will be the first period post-MC so I'm hoping it isn't delayed too much longer 😩. Worried my body is out of whack!

Just keen to get started!

Hi,

I am hoping to transfer in late Nov / early December. I am 38 (F) and 37 (M) with unexplained infertility. We have a 3 year old from our first cycle in 2020. Had 2 subsequent failed transfers (one of which was a chemical) and did a fresh round in Oct.

Doing a natural FET for the first time. Nervous my period will be late as I am stressing for it to come / IVF medication may have impacted cycle.

Impatient to get started! The waiting around is the worst.

camelinastorm · 14/11/2024 22:08

I am starting meds right at the end of November for FET beginning of December

Eggsellenté · 16/11/2024 00:53

@Autumn245 hope your scan went well and everything is as planned. I have started my meds a week today and My scan is on 9th Nov.
@BellaRosex so sorry about your mmc and @SAbs86 your failed transfer. Definitely hard to do but must stay relaxed/calm and eat well so you can be ready for the next transfer
@camelinastorm same! If my lining is thick enough and everything looks ok I believe my transfer will be during last week of Nov. Can't wait for this but dread the two long weeks of wait afterwards Confused

Fingers X'ed this cycle will be THE cycle that makes it happen for us!

@Eggsellenté scan went really well thanks. Lining thick enough and had a lead follicle over 14mm so triggered last night and go in next Friday for tranfer eek!!

Sending positive vibes to us all ✨️

Hello! I’m doing a natural modified fet too. This is my second fet, first one ended in a chemical. I ended up swapping clinics and doing a fresh round (still have two frosties in first clinic) and this time we are doing pgta so I’m waiting for my results which I should get early this coming week. Scan on Friday and hopefully transfer the week after!

Lillylight · 25/11/2024 21:37

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all doing OK and managing the rollercoaster that is IVF. Hoping to do a FET this month. Background M+F 43. Natural pregnancy resulted in MC at 8 weeks. Fresh transfer resulted in a chemical so fingers crossed for this time! Doing the long protocol prep for FET. Buserelin to put me into a chemical menopause now on estorgen patches to prepare the lining. Sending warm wishes and hugs to everyone. 😘

Autumn245 · 26/11/2024 15:55

I had my transfer last week so waiting to test now to see if it's worked. Official test date 7th December.

How long before your transfer date? @Lillylight

Have you had your transfers now @SamVan @Eggsellenté

Hope everyone else doing alright?

SamVan · 26/11/2024 16:03

@Autumn245 ooh that’s exciting! Best of luck! My follicle is growing slower than expected so I’ll only do the transfer next Wednesday.

Lillylight · 26/11/2024 20:52

@Autumn245 Well done on getting to the transfer point; an achievement in itself and all the luck for your results day.

I am still at the monitoring lining phase as still down-regulated. I’m at around 7mm so not much more to go!

Autumn245 · 27/11/2024 18:02

What thickness do your clinic like to see before transfer? @Lillylight mines was 7mm they wanted but I think I got to 8mm when I did the trigger. Fingers crossed all goes well and you get to transfer soon.

Good luck for next week @SamVan how are you feeling about it all?

Lillylight · 27/11/2024 21:17

@Autumn245 Hello. My clinic what 7.5mm minimum but would prefer 8mm. Going in for a scan on Friday. How is the waiting go?! How do you feel? Fingers crossed for you. 🤗

SamVan · 01/12/2024 19:08

@Autumn245 i haven’t been thinking about it much and am mostly just ignoring it which has been good for my mental health. I’m transferring a mosaic so the chances are not as high as I’d like so I haven’t really gotten my hopes up. What about you? How’s it going?

Autumn245 · 03/12/2024 14:27

Official test date on Saturday (15dpt), but I've already tested and it's positive! 😁 can hardly believe it tbh

Lillylight · 03/12/2024 14:51

@Autumn245 That is amazing news! Congratulations and well done to you! Amazing news.
I transferred today so any tips for the TWW would be welcome from someone who has cracked it! Xx

Autumn245 · 03/12/2024 18:21

Well I wouldn't say I cracked it as I didn't wait until test day 😂
I'd say try and stay busy to keep your mind off it, and if you have tests in the house keep them away from the bathroom, pee straight away when you get up un morning so you arent tempted to find the tests first. Or better yet don't buy any until test day! Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Autumn245 · 15/12/2024 13:17

Been a while since this post was updated. How's everyone getting on?

Lillylight · 15/12/2024 13:52

Hi @Autumn245 and everyone. I’m nearing the end of my TWW and gearing up to test day. Symptom spotting has been horrendous the last few days.
