Hi all,

I know there's lots of threads out about this but I'm hoping to have some fresh responses.

Have been ttc for 5 years with multiple failed fertility treatments including ivf.

I have pcos but still have regular cycles and partners sperm seems to be fine. Have no issues with tubes and they haven't found anything else that could be causing an issue. For reference, we are late 20s and early 30s.

If you conceived after years of ttc, what did you do differently that you think helped?

Would be really appreciative of your responses and I wish everyone the best who's gone/going through treatment.

Sorry about your long journey.

I think people may be able to suggest things more easily if you detail all investigations already undertaken over the 5 year period and the stage at which IVF was unsuccessful (non blastocyst formation/ non implantation etc). Are you entitled to further IVF rounds?

@sirensong thanks so much for your reply.

I've had a hycosy and the usual bloods, still checks etc.

6 months clomid, 2 cycles of IUI but never made it to the insemination as first time I overstimulated so they reduced drugs so much that the next round I didn't develop enough so cancelled both times), 1 collection. 43 eggs 22 mature 4 made it to embryo. 3 ivf transfers (1 double) best embryo graded AA. Pcos but no other issues found (tubes clear, triple pattern lining on transfer, and everything else seemed ok), partners sperm good (no further testing though so not sure if this tends to show things?).

Thanks again for your advice!

Sorry, just to add, they were day 5 embryos and yes, we would be entitled to one more round of ivf. I'm fearful of going through the process again as I just don't know why all 4 embryos would fail when they said everything appeared to be as it should and they don't know why it didn't work. I feel like there could be an underlying problem they haven't found. Unless we just need more treatment as I'm aware it doesn't work for everyone on the first round.
