Hi all,

am hoping someone is able to help me. I am currently with the NHs and have had 4 failed transfers. I have some embryos left form a second egg collection I did in August. I am a little cautious to transfer these as I feel maybe there is a reason for reoccurring implantation failure. The NHS will not do any of these tests and say to just transfer the remaining.

my question is does anyone know a clinic that offer these tests but do not require you to be under their care through IVF? I understand would have to pay an initial consultation fee but can’t actually find a clinic that will do these unless I am undergoing IVF with them. I am in south wales but am happy to travel for the tests.

Thanks in advance 🙏 x

Hi. I am in a similar situation. Just had my 5th failed FET. We met with the consultant this week, they mentioned these tests. We would have to fund it though, I dont think any NHS clinic would cover the costs. My case is being referred to the clinics board to discuss if it is worth me having the tests, the consultant doesnt think it is worth it.

Easy for him to say, he isnt the one going through each failed transfer and losing a part of yourself each time. I still have 2 frozen, so tempted to do a double transfer next, just so I can then go private overseas. I really cannot stand my clinic.

So sorry, I don’t come on here a lot so I didn’t see the notification. I’m so sorry to hear of your 5th failed FET 😢 seems like we are similar. The NHS won’t pay for any extra tests. I feel like I would get better treatment privately but I still have 5 embryos left from my second round which I’m really happy about but feel there must be more wrong if none of them implant.
I’ve decided against the ERA now as my private consultant charges a fortune for it and I’ve got an appointment with Professor Brosen who specials in reoccurring implantation failure and does something a little similar to the ERA. Have you heard of him? I’ve paid £350 for a private consultation and the biopsy they do is £750.

@Laurenm1990 No I haven't heard of him. Is that cost of £750 just for ERA? The Drs confirmed we should get all three tests done. Decided to go with their private clinic as it is coming out cheapest. All 3 is £1,500 plus consultation cost which I think is £250. I have 2 remaining frozen and need to use them before July as I turn 42 and they will not transfer at that age.

If these both fail, if we go privately I may look into oversea or just give up.

You need Dr Gorgy in London for immunes testing.

There's also a long running thread in this section on Emma / Alice / immunes etc. I'll tag you.
