Empty Folicles at EC- any advice?

Hi All
looking for some advice please!
As a bit of background, I’m 35, with a 2yr old son conceived naturally with no challenges. Giving him a sibling has proved much more challenging and we have just had the 2nd egg collection of our 3 cycle freeze all IVF package.
I have low AMH (3.1) but no other known challenges.
Round 1 we got 3 eggs collected (4 follicles) and two made it to the freezer.
Round 2, we ended up with a slightly higher Gonal F dose from day 6 and saw a slightly better follicle response, and we told to expect 5 eggs. Unfortunately we only got 2, with the 3 biggest folicles all being empty. When I spoke to the consultant she said my LH had creeped up to 7.8 on Monday but not high enough to be worried and that my trigger should have been enough for my follicles. (She said somthing about oestrogen being 3.8 which suggested around 4 eggs). Folicles were all intact so ovulation hadn’t happened early, but I whilst I appreciate folicles can be empty, I’m Struggling to get my head around why the 3 biggest folicles were empty. She suggested it could have been they released just before egg Collection so could work with 35 hours between Trigger and EC next cycle but I guess my ask to MN is has anyone got any advice? What questions should I be asking before my next cycle? What should/can I be pushing for? Thanks! C

Hiya, we had around 15 follicles and only collected two eggs. My consultant believes that it's not because the follicles were empty but rather that the eggs were not mature enough (I was slow at first to respond to the stims) so they got stuck to the follicle wall rather than flushed out.

I'm currently on down regulation for cycle 2 and I'm being put on a higher dose of stims and also increasing time between trigger and collection.
