How long to keep on trying?

Took 19 months to conceive #1 (SA unveiled low morphology 2-3%) we had been referred for IVF when I miracilously fell pregnant.

Trying for #2 since Feb - oh had SA results this week at morphology is 3% I am now 36 and he is 39. We've had 8 months of trying.......how much longer should we try for? Should we just go for IVF now?

Current plan is: start taking proceive (both of us), OH to cut down on alcohol and caffeine and to review in March at the 1 yr mark. Just finding the uncertainty frustrating.

This partly depends on your finances. You eventually did get pregnant before, so it could be a similar deal again.

Suggest getting your day 3 hormones done plus AMH plus having a scan to do a follicle count. That could guide whether you could give it 18 months or whether you need to go immediately to IVF.

Our second took 18 months with male factor and we had 2% morphology.

I'd do some tests yourself on AMH etc.
