Hello, I wrote the below on the conception thread but I thought it might be worth writing in this thread too!

Hi all!
So I’ve had the pleasant arrival of AF today which means that our next step is starting ICSI.
My husband has a low sperm count and I’ve got borderline PCOS and a small adenomyoma. We’ve had lots of investigations between us and are due to qualify for NHS funding in December so hoping to start IVF then.. feels a step in the right direction but obviously doesn’t come without its anxieties!
With that being said, would love to hear any positive/success stories of ICSI, particularly first time success stories but also any successes even if you’ve had failed rounds as any light at the end of the tunnel would be helpful right now.
This is such an emotional rollercoaster already so I know I’m gonna need to prep myself for what’s coming!
Thanks so much!

Hi,

My husband had a low sperm count too so he had to have SSR and we were advised for ICSI. I had polyps so I had to have a hysteroscopy first and couldn't have a fresh transfer. We had a FET which led to a successful result thank god. Overall it was a very long process with lots of tests which took over a year and lots of costs as we went private but the final result was definitely worth it.

It is definitely an emotional rollercoaster. Sending you lots of love and wishes. I pray this all works out for you well and soon you'll have a little bundle of joy in your arms this time next year. Good luck!
