3 Follicles

Hi all,
Just had first internal scan prior to fertility consultant next week. In left ovary had 2 follicles and 1 in right, massive and ready to ovulated. I'm awaiting my AMH to see what my levels are but worried we will have maternal and paternal factors now 😔

How old are you?

36

At 36 you should still have a decent amount of chromosomally normal eggs so if you can only retrieve 3 it isn't a disaster. Age is more important than AFC or AMH (though also possible your AFC could be a bit higher next month, as it can fluctuate) - ie. on average a 36 year old with 3 mature eggs has a higher chance than someone several years older with a lot more.

@ivfjourneyandme how did it go?

@Redpanda8 not great. Got 4 mature eggs but none fertilised despite using ICSI.
