@worldwidetravel2017 Here's a few things from me....

  • Ice cubes: make sure to have these ready, they'll help with numbing the skin before you inject yourself.
  • Alcohol wipes: check with your clinic if they can provide you with these as you'll need to clean the area on your tummy before injecting. I didn't get any from my clinic for this cycle so I ended up purchasing a box.
  • Anything that helps you relax - for me it was candles, books, and some healthy snacks.
  • It's not essential but I also have a folder where I collate any IVF related documents and a notebook that I always take with me to appointments to write down questions.
  • For the egg collection I was asked to bring a dressing gown, slippers, comfortable socks, panty liners.
  • Paracetamol: You're allowed to take these throughout the treatment in case of headache or pain (although double check with your clinic first), in fact I was advised to take a couple of tablets an hour before egg collection.

I can't think of anything else but others might have more ideas and your clinic should advise you, too.

I didn't buy any bits for egg collection or transfer! It didn't even cross my mind that I should be getting things especially!
