Hi all,

Me - low amh.
Partner - male factor (only just discovered).

Have done one cycle of clomid and then two cycles of Letrozole 5mg.

Had a monitoring scan on CD11 and my doctor said he thought the Letrozole had made me ovulate during my period (possibly CD5/6) as I had a corpus luteum in keeping with that possibility. I also had a decent trilaminar endometrium and 5 follicles growing with a dominant one looking to ovulate again soonish. Doc said he thought Letrozole had made my body just recruit follicles constantly and randomly ovulate them as soon as they were ready, regardless of the point in my cycle. I’d also had sky high positive LH strips during my last period which corroborated the ovulation during period theory.

Today is CD22 and my natural cycles app (I have an Oura ring to track BBT) been telling for the last few days that I’m in peak/very high fertility - so I wasn’t sure if I was going to have another standard ovulation with a period in 12-14 days time, but last night I started spotting, and today I’m bleeding so presumably on my period.

We have been advised to move to IVF with ICSI now, so just getting all the forms completed and have a long consult next week to go through all the preliminary stuff.

I’m just so confused, how can I be ovulating on my period? Can you be both follicular/luteal at the same time? Has this happened to anyone else? I have PMDD so trying to track and manage my mood and MH symptoms is proving very difficult!
