Endometriosis / Mild ivf / successive cycles

Hi everyone

So, I have endometriosis and adenomyosis, with very very low AMH and AFC. I have just finished my 1st IVF cycle which resulted in 3 frozen embryos (2 day 3; 1 day 5. Another embryo didn't make it to day 5). I was on a mild ivf protocol because of the low ovarian reserve.

My doctor told me at the end of my cycle that I could actually do a 2nd cycle straight away, without having a break in between like with conventional IVF. I was very surprised, because most other clinics I had seen before had said I will need to wait and let my body rest between stimulations. My doctor said it was because with the mild ivf I did, I didn't receive so much intense stimulation and so I can proceed straight away when also considering my low ovarian reserve.

I should add that I am doing this privately, and doing another cycle before any transfers because my ovarian reserve is so low that there is a real chance there will be no more eggs after a first pregnancy (if I am even that lucky to have a successful implantation)

I wondered if anyone else here has any experience of doing successive cycles in their journey? Or did you have a great in between even with mild ivf? x

I did successive cycles although one had to be paused due to a cyst at baseline scan. Are you allowed to abandon a cycle? You could see how things look at baseline and decide whether to carry on that month. The only cost implication for me was paying for the scan I'd had.
