*Sensitive Children Mentioned* Trying for a third IVF Child.

Has anyone had three IVF children? We have one embryo left and are thinking of going for it. We have a seven year old and a two year old. Also does it really matter that much that I am now nearly 38 and the embryo was frozen when I was nearly 30?

Not there yet but due #2 any day now. We also have 1 left in the freezer. Currently generally feel “2 and through” but the remaining embryo I can't bare thought of destroying, so may be in your shoes yet! I don’t know how likely it would be to work - on our 2nd egg collection we did a freeze all and froze 3 embryos (untested). First is DD and second is current pregnancy. I think we’d be incredibly lucky if third embryo was also viable.

Are you just going to try the 1 remaining embryo and call it a day after if it doesn’t take? Or considering more egg collections etc?

Just call it a day. I don't fancy more egg collections and I was at risk of OHSS with both cycles so probably still am. I think it is easier to come to terms with it not working. Plus saving for it is very difficult with two kids.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. My girl was first, boy second. Interestingly my last three transfers I have had a bfp but had a miscarriage on one of them.

@IVFmumoftwo Your thoughts very much mirror current thinking here, that if we did ever try for a third it would be that 1 embryo and no more.

That's interesting about boy second, as there was a thread recently about slower developing embryos might be more likely to be female. Don't know what we're having so will have to wait and see.
