I had a miscarriage in June. I was 8 or 9 weeks. First pregnancy. Conceived naturally quite quickly. I'll be 43 in 6 months. Losing hope.

I had a miscarriage just before my 42nd birthday, then two unsuccessful rounds of IVF, then got pregnant in June seven months off my 43rd birthday. 16 weeks now, NIPT results all good. Hopefully this time it's all going to be OK. Hang on in there. It's important to be realistic but at the same time a successful pregnancy is still more than possible at our age, and there are lots of options if our bodies need a helping hand. Wishing you lots of luck xxx

Hi, I am so sorry to read your story. I recommend doing testing, particulary speem and egg quality. Good luck

Why? OP said she conceived quickly. 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage, more when you're over 40. A single miscarriage is not a reason to undergo testing, they are a sad but natural event.

OP, I'm really sorry for your loss, it's devastating whenever it happens. Try to remember that outcome has no bearing on any future pregnancy. I hope luck comes your way again soon and you have a better outcome. The fact you conceived so quickly is very positive. Wishing you well.
