Naturally conceived after five years/IVF

Hi all, I've just found out I'm pregnant after five years of infertility, two failed FETs and loads of testing. I've been gearing up for FET 3 and this is totally out of the blue. I'm trying to be happy but honestly... I'm terrified! The test seemed strong (mid afternoon 14dpo, AF was due yesterday) but I've been having period like aches in my lower back and tummy for the past few days. Has anyone else had this? I know that really nothing I do is going to change the outcome, but reassurance would be amazing right now!

I conceived naturally this year for the first time in 7 years, having had our daughter via IVF 3 years ago. Congratulations, wishing you well.

Hello! I conceived naturally after 6 years of TTC and miscarriages. Today I have a beautiful baby daughter who is about to turn one!!! She is my life. Oh and I finally conceived aged 43! Miracles can happen and I so hope this is yours x

Oh and the aches may well be your uterus expanding to make room for its new resident :) fingers crossed for you!

Thank you both for your messages @Diverlady42 @SErunner - it's so hard to keep in mind that the outcome could be the one I want after such a long time! Trying to take it day by day now the shock has worn off a bit...

After years of trying, I was told we'd probably never conceive naturally due to DH extremely poor sperm. We tried IVF and after the first failure we were in despair, wondering how we'd afford another go when I found, to my surprise, I was pregnant naturally. Like you, I was terrified the whole way through the pregnancy. My DD is now 25. Keep thinking positively OP. It can and does happen, with successful outcomes.

@localbunny I totally understand. I've still not really got my head round it to be honest. But as always, there is nothing you can do to change the outcome unfortunately and it's a huge positive it's happened. Really hoping all goes smoothly for you.
