Thyroid Levels and FET

Currently preparing to have our first go of FET in Nov. I have hypothyroidism and permanently on the thyroxine. I know my TSH levels must be below 2.5 when trying to conceive but last week I had my bloods taken via my own GP and the results came back 1.08 mIU/L which I think is fine. However, my Serum Free T4 level is 24.9 pmol/L which is slightly out of range (normal range is apparently 11.9 - 21.6). Anybody had had similar situations where your serum free t4 was slightly elevated?

Planning to start our frozen embryo transfer in November but now slightly worried this is going to delay it until I get my T4 back to normal range 😞

That potentially suggests you might be taking too much thyroxine - what did your GP say?

I think it takes 6 weeks for any changes to thyroid medication to show up so you may be okay!

Hey ! I have Hashimotos and hypothyroidism so im under the endocrine team - I’m having my FET this month , as long as your TSH is below 2 I don’t think the t4 matters much, you could ask the GP to repeat in a month time - they need to keep a close eye on you when you are pregnant aswell !
