17 eggs, only 2 blasts

Had egg collection last week and got 17 eggs, but we've only got 2 x day 5 blastocysts. They are about to do PGT-A testing to see if they're worth freezing for an FET (it's a freeze all cycle).
Anyone else been in this position or similar and had success?
The embryologist said it's good but it seems very low to me.

Hi Rusty.
We had 52 eggs and only got 5 blasts.
didn’t do testing as it wasn’t offered and currently 7+3 pregnant. It only takes one and it depends on why the others didn’t fertilise or progress.
Was it egg quality, was it fertilisation etc etc
My clinic said they expect 50% to fertilise. So that would be about 8 for you and then about 50 percent to make it to blast which would be 4 so you aren’t miles away.

Always got low number of eggs here (poor responder to stims despite normal AMH for someone in their early 30s). From 2 egg collections we only got 5 blasts. None tested. We’ve had 4 of them transferred resulting in - 1 BFN, 1CP, 1 live birth, 1 ongoing pregnancy (currently 35 weeks).

You can absolutely have success with lower numbers

@Kp121 @2mumlife Thank you for the reassurance. All the best for your pregnancies!
