Hi,

Could someone tell me about their experience with ivf having endometriosis. Mine is stage 4 and have been told the news that natural pregnancy will never be possible. I'm 36. Any advice would be sooo appreciated. Thank you

@Always28 hello! Can I please ask what embryo transfer protocol you went for? I’m gearing up to transfer and I have no idea which transfer protocol to go for (e.g medicated, down regulation, natural etc) x

Positive experience here. Had a lap and dye where I found out both my tubes were blocked with endometriosis. They did ablation of some of the endometriosis and removed a couple of endometriomas. I was told it would come back anyway, which it did, 6 months later by the time I was having a baseline ivf scan I had another endometrioma. I also had an okay but relatively low AMH (10) for my age. But anyway 6 eggs collected, 4 blasts. Fresh cycle was my daughter. I then had a failed FET, and then a successful FET and I am currently pregnant. 1 blast left and no idea what we will do with it as fairly set on 2 children - leaving us with a bit of a dilemma!

Best of luck to you!! I appreciate IVF is a fairly daunting journey to embark on and I am sorry that it has come to this for you. You’ve got this 💪

Can I ask if anyone had the hormone injections to calm everything down before the ivf or if you all went straight for ivf. Also if the ivf was natural with your cycle?

@LolaBumble Hi Lola - amazing story! Can I ask what protocol you had for your successful FETs? I had my first failed FET last month with a natural modified and now my doctor is suggesting either natural modified again or down regulation + medicated and I’m not sure what to do. What worked for you? Thank you! X

Hi, we're just doing ivf working with my natural cycle. They should tell you based on your personal circumstances which is best for you :)

Do for us the ivf was with Buserelin downregulation. There was actually a national shortage of buserelin at the time so we had to wait an extra 4 months but the consultant strongly recommended it! They totally took over my cycle with meds.

For the FETs we just did natural modified xx

Sorry to hear about your failed FET! For us one natural modified that failed then one that was successful. They never actually suggested down regulation for me for a FET, but that I would have been interested in that x

Hi, through your successful pregnancies, did any of you have very low hcg on first blood test, and then went up? Mine was 11 so I accepted it had failed but 48hrs later it's gone up to 27. It's still very low but apparently the rate at which it goes up is what matters most.
Thank you 🙏
