Myo-inositol & Maca root

Has anyone tried either or both of these? Did it help regulate their cycle/help with ovulation? My cycles can range from 35-50 days and not even 100% sure I ovulate. I have PCOS and had a failed round of IVF earlier this year, hoping to try naturally before going for round 2!
Thanks

Hey! I take Myo-Inositol which has maca in. The brand I get is called “Free Soul”. It’s helped to regulate my cycles, but I know it doesn’t work for everyone. What I also have is spearmint tea x 3 and mainly eat from an anti-inflammatory diet. Reduced carbs/wholemeal carbs helps massively with my PCOS. I did manage to achieve a natural pregnancy with all this but it sadly ended in miscarriage. Sorry to hear that your IVF was not successful. I’m now doing ovulation induction at the moment. Wish you best of luck with everything x

@CardiVee thank you for the info! So sorry to hear about your MC, I also had a MMC from my first round of IVF I know how tough it is 😥I have booked a doctors app for a couple of weeks time hoping they will proscribe me something to help ovulation, good luck I hope it works out for you x

So sorry to hear about your MMC also. I’m with a private clinic and their preference is letrozole over clomid. When I went to the doctor, they did say they couldn’t prescribe me anything and referred me to gyny who prescribed me Clomid and metformin. Hopefully, yours will be different and be able to give you something. Good luck x

I'm hoping because I've already been through the process of seeing a gynae last year they don't make me go through the process again! I think it was about a 8 month wait for an appointment. I started myo & maca last night so will see if that makes any difference! X

I hope they don’t either because my wait was a year. It’s so long. Glad you started last night. Keep me posted with how it goes x

Would you stop taking these supplements after ovulation? Or are they to be taken the full cycle? X

Also to anyone reading this - I ovulated yesterday on time for the first time since I started tracking 2.5 years ago - I have also been going to the gym and eating better so that will also have a factor but feel like the supplements have worked for me so far!

I take these supplements everyday. I’m glad to see that you’ve ovulated. That’s amazing. It’s probably a combination of the gym, healthy eating and supplements. I hope you continue getting the results you need x

I started having proper periods (with hormonal symptoms etc) after starting taking inositol. I use the one from health leads. Two scoops at breakfast (2 mg in total I think) and two with evening meal.
