Utrogestan with extra progesterone support

Hi guys,

37F here planning on doing a frozen embryo transfer next month. I opted for long protocol where I will be taking Buserlin, Utrogestan and estradiol.

I asked the doctor whether I should get progesterone injections added to my presciption as my first fresh transfer failed and the doctor for that treatment at the time said I should get that for my next tramsfer. The doctor said it was up to me to get progesterone injections and asked whether I wanted the utrogestan as well as the progesterone. Anyone had the long protocol with extra progesterone along with utrogestan? If not, what did you have? What was your experiences? Would love to know!

I have no experience of your specific protocol but I had a fresh transfer where I bled before OTD so for the next transfer they checked my progesterone levels and then made a decision about if I needed extra progesterone. Maybe the clinic could do this?

Yes I took both urogestan and lubion injections at the same time and had a successful cycle

Thanks for sharing and really encouraging to know it was a success for you. May I ask whether you did a long protocol with Buserelin to "switch off" your ovarias beforehand?

Sorry I missed the long protocol part. No, I have very low AMH so they did not recommended long protocol for me as my ovaries are already not very active! Urogestan is not absorbed well by some people, my level was less than half of what it should have been when I took those on their own. The injections were therefore added which solved the problem.
