I’m on cycle 2 of monitored letrozole cycle. I was asked to come in today which is day 7 of my cycle for a scan basically to see how my lining is because last cycle i needed estradiol when they scanned me on day 10 of that cycle. Anyway had my scan today and they found I already have a dominant follicle at 17mm with a lining of 6mm. It’s just day 7 of my cycle so quite surprised. I’ve been instructed to take estradiol again and back for another scan on Monday when we’ll check the size of the follicle, lining and see if I can trigger then which is cycle day 10. Anyone else had early ovulation/ dominant follicle of this size early on in the cycle? I’m worried if my dominant follicle has an egg that it won’t mature properly if we trigger early but trying to keep positive.
Also just to say i don’t have pcos, i’m 36 y/o amh 3.5, i do ovulate (usually cycle day 15-16) but fertility consultant suggested we try a few letrozole cycles before considering IVF.
