Bleeding 5/6 days after ovulation. Ttc

Hi. This is my first time posting here, and wondering if anyone has similar experience that could help advise.

We have been TTC since may 2023. We got the pregnant first month we tried but I experienced a gush of fresh red blood about 4/5 days after ovulation. Then spotting on and off until I eventually had an early miscarriage at 5.5 weeks.

every month we tried to conceive after that I’d experience the same gush of blood at about 5/6/7 days after ovulation.

All my blood tests came back fine. We eventually went to see a private gynae who prescribed me cyclogest 400mg twice daily to be taken 2 days after LH surge.

we did 6 months of this and whilst the bleeding stopped. We’ve still not been successful in getting pregnant.

I’ve just started IVF and the last scan revealed a small polyp and some fluid in my uterine cavity but our dr said this could have been caused by the stims. Every other scan has been fine and not revealed any fibroid/ polyp.

we’re awaiting a hysteroscopy but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this pattern of bleeding and if you’d ever had an explanation? Given it only started when we started trying to conceive it feels related to potential pregnancy but we’re confused as to why we’re still not getting pregnant, even when we manage to stop the bleeding.

I did have one month in may when I took a break from the cyclogest and I experienced only a tiny rust spot when I wiped at 6 dpo. My period was subsequently 5 days last so it’s possible this was a chemical but it’s hard to know as we were holding off testing too early.

Could the cyclogest be having the opposite affect and getting in the way of a pregnancy? Or have we just been unlucky? I know it’s all quite niche but any insights or advice anyone has would be so appreciated. We’re so sad and often feel heartbroken and we’d do anything to move things forward.

thank you x
