Proxeed or impryl?

Following a pretty rubbish first round of IVF that ended in a mmc we're having a break while we try and work on ourselves. My partner has a low count of 2mil and poor morphology, he's currently waiting for a follow up with a urologist following a scan that showed 2 varicoceles so should know if he will need an opp or not in the next couple of weeks.

He has been taking proxeed, albeit not as much as he should. No morning drinks just the evening when I make it for him, to be honest it's hard work being a drink! So is it worth trying Impryl? Can anyone advise if one is more effective than the other? If proxeed is better we will stick with it and be more strict I just think tablets may be easier!

TIA X

My partner went from 2% motility to 6% (still not phenomenal but it's tripled and is in the normal range now) by taking Impryl, vit d, l-carnatine and omega 3, cutting out alcohol, having veg with every meal, stopping cycling

Thanks for replying! I've looked at soo many different brands for male supplements - there are too many! Think we will try Impryl

If it helps Impryl (or Condensyl was the brand name at the time) was recommended to DH by urologist Jonathan Ramsay.

Mr Ramsay recommended Proxceed for us.

Our IVF consultant also recommended Lycopene.. it's from tomatoes. If you google Lycopene and sperm you will see the studies.

DH is on his 2nd month of Impryl he had 0% normal forms and I think it was 12% motility so he started these, his retest is next month so I’ll let you know if there is any improvement

We had been trying for 14 months and then decided to both take impryl as it was recommended to us by our fertility clinic. 8 weeks later- BFP. It may not have been the impryl but that was the only thing we had changed x

Personally I would really recommend Impryl. In 2019 my husband was told he had very low sperm count (less than 3 million). We had further tests in June 2022 which came back with the same result, and were then told we needed IVF with ICSI and were advised to take Impryl. After taking it for 6 months, on the day of egg collection his count was 21 million. He hadn’t changed anything else so we put it down to Impryl - definitely worth a try as I’m pretty sure that it worked well for us!
