13dp3dt - are these lines ok?

Hi,

Really freaking out here as I've never been lucky enough to see a bfp positive before.

Today I am 13dp3dt and these images are from 8dp3dt (skipping day 12 yesterday). Top left is day 8 and bottom right is today.

My official test date is tomorrow...I would really appreciate your views on these lines!

Thank you 🙏

OP, these are great lines. They show good progression, leading to a lovely solid positive for the final one.

Jcm1985 · 05/08/2024 14:00

Thanks so much for the reply! I was beginning to hugely panic as I felt day 4 was slightly lighter than day 3. I definitely need to stay away from the tests as I’ve driven myself crazy 🙃

These look great!@Jcm1985 I had a couple that I did close together & couldn’t tell which was fainter but my OTD is today & I’ve got the darkest line yet. Mine was very similar to yours yesterday!

Jcm1985 · 05/08/2024 14:20

@Mfiwife thanks so much for the reassurance! My official test date is today too, and today’s is pretty much the same as yesterday but trying not to let that get to me. I’ve purposely not bought any more tests and trying to hold off now until at least the weekend! Are you all booked in for your scan? Congrats 🎉

Mfiwife · 05/08/2024 16:06

I wouldn’t worry about that. HCG doubles every 48 hours according to others on here & I’ve defo had days that have stayed the same but then a couple of days later have got darker. Also depends on what time you do the test, how diluted wee is etc. Yeah I have stopped for a few days too! It gets so stressful otherwise (& expensive!) I’m going to do a week predictor at the weekend & stop obsessing over lines. all booked in for two weeks time so just praying things progress between now & then! Do your clinic do betas?

Jcm1985 · 05/08/2024 17:15

@Mfiwife i think the week predictor stressed me out the most! My clinic said not to bother with them as levels are so variable, but I thought it would be reassuring (and I guess it would be if you got the weeks you were expecting to get!)

eeep all the best for your scan. Mine isn’t until the 27th because of work/bank holiday 😩

and no - I did check this morning as was thinking that it might be helpful to reassure me, but they said they don’t because levels are so variable and it can just cause more stress. Even with beta they would need to scan anyway so best just to wait til then and do weekly scans. At the moment that makes sense, but I might change my mind by next week 😂

Jcm1985 · 05/08/2024 17:37

@Mfiwife weekly preg tests not scans 😂🙈

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 06/08/2024 10:26

Ha! I called my clinic about betas too and they said exactly the same thing! Are you with nurture by any chance? I only ask because I feel like lots of clinics do betas.

I have done another test this morning despite telling myself I wouldn't! & yes that's a good point re week predictor, if it's not 3+ I will panic. I need to just wait until 7 week scan and then wait until 12. I know logically testing achieves nothing, whatever will be will be and constantly checking does nothing but cause stress but doesn't seem to stop me! Let me know how you get on with your scan 😊

Jcm1985 · 06/08/2024 11:34

@Mfiwife I’m with Manchester Fertility…still undecided as to whether no beta tests are a good or bad thing!!

was your test darker again??? I am itching to take one today but really trying not to 😩

did you have a 5 day or 3 day transfer? Hopefully we will both be sharing good news in a few weeks 🤞🤞🤞

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 06/08/2024 12:20

I know same!

So this was today’s test. Not sure it can really get much darker now so pointless testing really. I got a faint line from 4dp5dt so I would be worried if it wasn’t as dark as the control line at this stage. I did a 5 day transfer did you? X

13dp3dt - are these lines ok?
Jcm1985 · 06/08/2024 13:06

Oh wow! That’s a perfect test 🎉 I think you’re right - doubt they are going to get much darker than that. Congrats again!!

I had a 3-day 8 cell transfer so on day 15 past transfer now. Definitely will be testing again but going to wait until Friday (if I can!!)

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 06/08/2024 13:36

Still so hard to just relax and not check every day! 😫ooh ok, so you're actually less dpo than I am aren't you because i'm 15dp5dt but your tests look pretty dark to me! Yeah I'd try and wait it out as much as you can! (easier said than done and v hypocritical of me) 😄

Jcm1985 · 06/08/2024 14:54

Honestly it’s taking all of the willpower to not go out and buy more tests! Were you on the early response ones at first too?

I’m going to hold off until Friday and fingers crossed I will get a nice strong line like the one you’ve had today 🤞

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 06/08/2024 21:34

I couldn’t get any of the first response ones so I’ve just stuck to clear blue & some cheap ones off Amazon! They were really light to start with on clear blue like the faintest line ever at 4dp5dt & then a little bit darker every day since. Yes try & hold out. At least until Thurs xx

Jcm1985 · 06/08/2024 22:28

Well I cracked and tested (from the corner shop so different brand) and it’s so light 😩 so now super panicking and started to spiral again! Have ordered some more first response and clear blue that will arrive tomorrow. This is torture!!

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 07/08/2024 03:18

I used a random cheap test a few days ago & it was really light in comparison to my others. Try not to panic & wait for your first response ones to come. I’ve woken up feeling cramps & dreamt I miscarried so I’m also spiralling. This early stage is so so hard! Let me know how you get on with your tests x

Jcm1985 · 07/08/2024 06:05

Oh god it’s so bloody hard! You were up in the middle of the night? I’ve just done the second one of the same cheaply test this morning and it looks slightly darker but still super light.

Cramps are so so normal especially if you’re on progesterone - just keep looking at that great test you posted!!

OP posts:
Jcm1985 · 07/08/2024 06:24

These are last night’s and this morning’s (stood at the back door to get the natural light at 6:20 😂🙃)

were yours like these a few days ago?? Please say they were! 🙏

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 07/08/2024 08:29

Yep! Looks like a similar test too! I’ve attached a photo. It’s also so positive that it’s got darker that quickly! I had like back ache and a heavy feeling in the night. I think it might have just been constipation/wind (sorry tmi!) but the feeling made me dream I was on my period & I woke up thinking it was all over 😩😩 I feel fine again this morning, boobs are really sore, test is still dark & no blood or anything but I just feel so worried & its horrible not being able to talk to friends or family about it because we’re not telling anyone until we’re further along! Let me know how you get on with your first response tests!

13dp3dt - are these lines ok?
Jcm1985 · 07/08/2024 09:23

Definitely stick with the positives - you are absolutely fine! I am still holding out for a test as good as yours - mine are nowhere near! And no symptoms really other than heavy boobs.

these are Monday’s and today’s first response - I can’t see any difference 😩 have messaged my clinic as I’m totally spiralling!

I think the bottom one looks darker! I think everyone's levels are slightly different and probably have surges of hcg at different times. I think as long as it's not getting lighter I would try not to panic. I had a couple of days where there didn't seem to be much of a change. The way I'm trying to look at it today is whatever will be will be. We have absolutely no control over it & being worried/upset over something that hasn't happened yet and might never happen is a waste of time. Easier said than done I know! Let me know how you get on with your clinic x

Jcm1985 · 07/08/2024 18:34

They were really reassuring - said they were happy with my tests and would tell me if they weren’t! Had a little tiny bit of brownish discharge today (great!!!) which hasn’t helped with anxiety. Still all over the place but need to try and just take each day as it comes x

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 07/08/2024 18:41

That’s good! I would feel really reassured too. I called my clinic to see if they would advise I take progesterone I had left over from my last fet because I was feeling crampy & they said I could if it made me feel better but I hadn’t had any bleeding so wouldn’t say I had to. Brown discharge is so normal. Two of my closest friends who have had babies recently had that & were really worried and it was fine. I think you only have to worry if it’s like bright red! X

Jcm1985 · 07/08/2024 20:55

Definitely take it if it makes you feel better!! Our scans seem like such a long way in the future 🙃

Mfiwife · 07/08/2024 22:34

I know!! So far away 😩😩 one day at a time! Haha
