Hi @Mfiwife I can see a v faint line in both but more so in the second pic x

baby2in2022 · 27/07/2024 06:36

Yep I can see a line in both pics as well.

Faith2024 · 27/07/2024 06:37

I can see the faint line!! How exciting for you, may it stick 🙏

Mfiwife · 27/07/2024 08:07

Thanks so much!! Meant to say, the top one was from 4dp5dt. The bottom one is from today, 5dp5dt. Fingers crossed!!! Xx

Mfiwife · 27/07/2024 13:12

Will do! Just went to get more tests 😂

strawberrylaces12 · 27/07/2024 13:23

I can see a line on both of those, the bottom one being slightly darker. Tentative congratulations and keep us posted, fingers crossed they get darker as the days go on 😊🤞

Mfiwife · 27/07/2024 13:45

Thanks so much! Here’s hoping 🤗

I’ve completely lost the plot & just done another test.. it’s definitely a darker line. I know this is so so early & could all change very quickly but this is definitely a positive right? Do you think there’s anyway that they could be evap lines?! Thanks in advance! Xx

OP posts:
Mfiwife · 27/07/2024 16:18

Sorry meant to add image! Surely 3 Evap lines in a row would be unusual? X

Here’s the comparisons. Doesn’t help that my husband is away this weekend & none of my family & friends know about this transfer after our last one failed!! So I have no one to talk to and am going crazy haha xx

There's definitely a line you're not going crazy x

strawberrylaces12 · 27/07/2024 20:08

It seems thick enough not to be an evap. My evap on this type was thin. Could you try a red line test type one? Blue ones can be a bit iffy. Fingers crossed for more tests looking like this too 🤞

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 07:34

Thanks both @strawberrylaces12 @Lcm11

i have tested again this morning (6dp5dt) do you think the line is getting darker?

Yeah and seems to be more colour to it so 🤞

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 10:44

Thanks for response @strawberrylaces12 I did a digital test & got ‘pregnant’ 😁 going to stop testing now! OTD not until a week today 😳 but I know implantation has happened at least so just have to hope it continues 🥰

Ahhh that's so exciting, congratulations! Yes maybe just test again on your OTD and then you can let the clinic know? So pleased for you! 🥰 I'm in the stims part of my first IVF round so I'm hoping it works out too 🤞

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 12:31

Thanks so much 😊 @strawberrylaces12 how are you finding stims? I did my first round of stims in Feb this year 🥰 I didn’t find it as hard as I thought I would! Do you know when your egg collection will be? X

Not too bad so far (I'm on day 6 of injections today) thankfully I don't mind needles so that helps! I did a couple of medicated IUIs so I'm sort of used to that haha. I'm starting my injection to prevent ovulation tonight which I've been told can sting, yay 😅 my wife is being fab though and is taking on doing all of the house jobs in return for me putting my body though this 😂 I'm a bit nervous for the egg collection but I've heard it's often not as bad as people expect?

Have you had multiple transfers? (Don't have to answer of course!) X

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 16:20

Ahh that’s so nice of her! @strawberrylaces12 will you carry too or are you doing reciprocal? My DH sometimes forgets what we put our bodies through although I make sure I remind him 🤣 yeah I remember that one being a little bit stingy but not too bad. The egg collection procedure was literally nothing to worry about. It was over in 10 mins & I didn’t have any pain afterwards. This is my second FET! I couldn’t do a fresh transfer because of risk of OHSS so did my first transfer in April when my ovaries calmed down but ended in BFN & now this is my second so praying it works!! Our reason for ivf is MFI & so in theory it shouldn’t take too many attempts (I hope!) x

Yeah I've got a good'un 🥰 I'll be looking to carry. Firstly because I'm more pulled to do so (my wife wants children but isn't particularly keen on the idea of carrying) but also because we had to self fund 6 IUIs (which unfortunately didn't result in a pregnancy) and we now have a funded IVF round. The funding doesn't include reciprocal IVF. Glad to hear that the egg collection was okay for you! Is that risk based on your AMH and AFC?

Our consultant said we also need to be cautious of ohss as my amh and afc are on the high side of normal, but planning for a fresh transfer if there are no signs of ohss and I'm on a low dose of Ovaleap.

All of my tests have come back as good. The only thing I have is a fibroid that is out of the way so doesn't need removing thankfully. I know the 6 IUIs is still within 'normal' fertility I.e. similar to 6 months of trying but I still do worry about my fertility. Fingers crossed the IVF works 🤞

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 18:56

Oh that makes sense! Our first round was funded Including our first FET but we have just paid for our second FET. Not cheap but hopefully worth it! We considered IUI after our first FET because weirdly my dh count improved massively between our first tests and the sample he gave on egg collection day but our consultant told us IVF has much higher success rates so not to bother! Yea my AMH & AFC were also high which resulted in them collecting 31 eggs which put me at risk for OHSS. Having my transfer suspended wasn’t ideal but I was just so happy to have so many eggs that I didn’t really mind & was happy to wait for my body to get back to normal! Sounds like everything is in your favour so hopefully you have a great collection & a successful transfer! How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? X

Aww I'm so glad it seems to have worked for you on the 2nd one! How much, roughly, did the second FET cost if you don't mind me asking? Oh wow, 31 eggs! How many did you get to freeze from that? My AMH was 34.9pmol/L and my AFC was 38 when tested in May. Both on the high ish side of normal apparently, especially the afc. So I'm on 112.5 of Ovaleap to prevent overstimulation. What was your amh, afc, and dosage? (Again only if you don't mind saying, sorry I just find it interesting to see other people's situation).

I'm 28, so hopefully have age on my side. How old are you? I was 27 when we started the IUIs. Obviously was really sad when it didn't work for us but hopefully IVF will have higher odds 🤞 our ivf consultant seemed positive and basically said we probably wouldn't be here if one of us produced sperm 😂 x

Mfiwife · 28/07/2024 19:45

No I don’t mind at all. FET at our clinic is £2,600 which isn’t cheap but no where near as bad as a full round! So having high AMH & AFC (& hopefully getting lots of eggs which should result in a good number of frozen embryos) is a real benefit. They also say that there’s a 98% chance of a live birth after three trf with euploid embryos so that gave me lots of hope! Yours are very likely to be euploid too at your age. I’m 33 & my consultant said she would expect most of mine to be. So my AMH was 24.5 I think but I’m not sure in what measurement sorry! I also can’t remember my AFC but I know it was high. Even with that many eggs though I didn’t feel too bloated or in pain. We froze 13 embryos in the end. 11 of which were day 5 top quality & 2 were day 6. Haha I love to know everyone’s situation too! Sounds like you are the perfect ivf candidate really hopefully you have lots of success 🥰 xx

Ah okay that's good to know, thank you! I think with our funding we get an egg collection funded and any/all transfers from that egg collection. But if we needed another egg collection we'd have to pay. We already spent like £8.5k on IUI so it feels fair to get those extra transfers included if we need them 😂

Can you remember how many follicles you had if you got 31 eggs? Such a good number! And wow 13 embryos frozen is fab! Is there an extra test for them to know they're euploid or can they tell when they're developing?

Aww fab to know thanks! I just did my first Ovamex injection (to prevent ovulation) and it did sting but not as much as I expected thankfully. It bled a tiny bit after which I'm hoping is okay. Also was a bit red at the site and slightly raised but looking at the information leaflet that seems okay. Honestly this whole thing has me over thinking everything 😅xx
