BFP 10dp5dt - chemical pregnancy?

Hi all, we have secondary unexplained infertility and are on round 3 of IVF. This was our first frozen round.
my official test day was 11 days post transfer and I started to get a faint line at 10dpt.
I may have had a very very faint line around 7/8 dpt but I don’t think I left the test long enough and now can’t tell if it’s just an evap line!
my clinic seem a bit concerned the line is so faint and have told me to retest on Wednesday. They said to be prepared it may be negative by then.
Has anyone else had this happen? I’m guessing it may be a chemical if it has implanted so late.
thanks

@LucyAvalon Have you clinic suggested a blood test? My first ever BFP was a chemical pregnancy - I'd tested positive from 5dp5dt but line wasn't getting darker, but still showing on FRER at 10dp5dt (OTD). I wasn't tested positive on CB digital. I had a gut feeling something wasn't right, and beta hcg came back very low. Repeated blood hcg few days later confirmed CP. I was still testing positive on FRER when my beta hcg taken same day was negligible (I think 5) so I would suggest testing with another test that requires a higher concentration in your urine than FRER, and if you test positive on that I'd take that as very reassuring. Wishing you best of luck.

Thanks @2mumlife ! The clinic doesn't seem to feel the need to do a blood test (which is a shame!). I tested on a CB digital yesterday and got 1-2 weeks pregnant which I believe is 10miu/ml so I’ll do another one in about a week and see if it moves to 2-3.
I’ve also ordered some strip tests that I think require >10 so I’ll use those for day to day tracking over this week to see if I keep getting a line!

@LucyAvalon If its registering on CB digital I'd take that as really reassuring. Shame they wont offer a blood test as that's the most objective measure. Sounds like your hcg is rising though! Wishing you the best of luck

To update, had an hcg blood test done today (13dp5dt) and it was 41.8 so assume it is a chemical pregnancy afterall.

@LucyAvalon I'm sorry to hear that Lucy. Will they recheck your bloods in a few days to check your hcg is coming down?

It it offers some hope, my first every BFP was a CP (after 4 failed IUI rounds, failed fresh transfer, CP was our first FET). I went on to have another egg collection doing a freeze-all cycle. Our next FET (so first transfer after the CP) is now our DD.

I was told by fertility clinic at the time of my CP that it was a 'good sign' as it showed I could get pregnant and just needed the right embryo.

Wishing you all the luck in the future

Thanks @2mumlife , going to do bloods again tomorrow and see what’s happening!
I agree, getting pregnant is in itself a step forward!
