I’ve been referred to Ninewells for unexplained infertility. I was referred in March and received my consent forms and have my first appointment on the 30/07 for the AMH test. I made the mistake of finding a thread a few years old, where the ladies all started treatment very soon after getting the AMH results.
I’ve got a holiday booked the beginning of September, so emailed to see if it was worth cancelling. And received the following response:
After your AMH appointment you would then wait roughly 2-3 months on a consultant appointment, to discuss your treatment options, and what protocol you would follow. I wouldn't cancel your holiday, as your treatment won't commence straight after your consultant appointment, as you are then put on the waiting list for treatment, which is roughly sitting at 9 - 12 months before starting.
I thought the wait was finally over, but now looks like I’ve got another year. I feel very lucky to have NHS rounds, but, as I’m sure like everyone here, the limbo and feelings of time slipping is becoming more and more painful.
Are there any other folk currently undergoing treatment at Ninewells ahead of me? What do your timelines look like? It’s such a rollercoaster and all the uncertainty is really messing with my head.
