Hello,

Could anyone give me a ballpark of how long the semen analysis with your GP takes please?

Is it weeks or months? I've just seen a Reddit comment about someone waiting 8 months for an SA result and I am spooked!

Hi @Rankin11 when we first had ours there was basically no wait. My husband got a letter to book one about a week after the gp did the referral then he got booked in for a week or two later and got the results a few days later. However I imagine this will vary massively depending on your health trust and where abouts you are

My partner got his results back within 2 weeks if I recall, could have even been quicker. 8 months is mental!

I am in London. My husband requested one in October. We are still waiting for an actual appointment for one and have had to fork out hundreds for private ones in the interim. 😢
