Just started the long protocol

Hi Ladies, I just got my meds for down regulation yesterday and I am feeling a bit confused. They didn't do a baseline scan like I was told they would and so there are no guarantees that this was given after I ovulated as I tend to ovulate quite late in my cycle. Does anyone know if this matters?

Also would love to have people in a similar position to link with if anyone else is at the same stage. Thanks :)

@Eagerlywaiting1990 what drugs are you taking for down regulation? I didn’t have a baseline scan because I was injecting Buseserlin for two weeks. This shuts down your hormones and they should in two weeks scan you to check for an inactive lining, and two inactive ovaries. You should expect to get a period but mine was a little late which is to be expected and normal! Once that happens they then take control of your ovaries etc so how your cycle normally is is completely irrelevant as your hormones remain closed off!

Thank you so much for your reply thats really reassuring @MerryBrickHelper. I think I'm catatrophising before I've even begun haha! I had a depo injection of decapeptyl and then due back on 11th July provided I bleed before then. Think I'll be starting stims then.
