Donor eggs uk vs Europe?

Cross posted as I am desperate for opinions.

After two failed rounds of ivf it now looks likely that I will need to use an egg donor as I'm not producing any eggs.

I am happy to go down the egg donor route and am leaning towards using a uk clinic as I'm not sure about how ethically a clinic in Spain or the Czech Republic source their eggs. However I am swayed by the cost and success rate of some clinics I've seen in Spain and we are running out of available funds. Also our clinic has a nine month waiting list.

Can anyone share their experiences either uk or abroad to help me in my decision? Thank you.

@AbigailisPartiedOut Sorry you've found yourself in this position. We used donor sperm (not eggs) but one thing I would consider as it seems more of an issue with eggs, is whether any child/ren can find out information about their donor and donor siblings. I see a lot of places (like Spain I believe) where there is easier access to donor eggs, but that donors are anonymous. I think you need to decide where you stand morally on anonymous donors, as that may steer you away from certain places. Best of luck whatever direction you decide to go

Thank you, yes it is very much a consideration for me, along with how donors are recruited. I would always want to be honest about telling a child a donor was used as per the recommendations from the donor conception network and using an anonymous donor could create more questions than answers.
