Hi,
I had one IVF cycle with fresh embryo transfer ( 5BB) in June which was not successful. I was not quite happy with the present one. They had delayed since January. Planning to change it to a different hospital for another cycle in Birmingham. Any recommendations please?
was considering PGT A this time? Any advice please.
Thank you

Hi, have you considered treatment abroad?

I had an unpleasant experience with Create Birmingham and decided to do it abroad. No success yet but the process is a lot less frustrating.

I did mine in Prague; have also read good stories on Spain, Greece etc. I am turning 42 and waiting to go back for my FET.

Might be worth looking into?

Sorry to know that it hasn’t worked. I haven’t tried in abroad yet. Will explore this option too. This is my first cycle of IVF at Priory and they don’t follow up. We need to chase everything after paying so much money.
At Priory they don’t offer PGT. Considering at Care. Best wishes for FET. Hopefully it will work out for you.
How many cycles have you underwent? I feel it’s like numbers game. It’s very tiring journey emotionally / financially as well.
Planning to undergo FET but not sure whether they will give me a slot. Thanks

It is a numbers game but at the same time there are so many success 'it only takes one' stories so hang in there and try again :)

I have (unfortunately) had 6 collections (last 2 were a duostim protocol abroad) since starting on this journey at 39. I am 42 this year and ready to draw a line in the sand; I have 4 day-5 and a day-3 frozen and will prepare for the FET(s) later in the year. If they fail, then I will accept that it's not meant to be.

I personally think the money goes further abroad and they have better technology and care; really regret my 3 cycles at Create.

You can also transport your embryos to another clinic (if you decide to continue treatment in the UK); I can't see why they won't give you a slot though given you are a paying patient. Keep at it, the coordinators are not the most considerate/thoughtful people to deal with in this already stressful process!

Thanks for sharing your story.I completely agree with you. You had quite good number of embryos/ hopefully FET works out for you. Stay positive / will hear good news soon.

I feel especially women with these problem don’t have enough support here. Just left out.

I have started treatment 3 yrs back, (37) so slow and dragged with ovulation induction / hysteroscopic ploypectomy/ finally had 1st IVF cycle.

Had one son with out any issues 9 yrs back and this is all new and so stressful to me.
After failed IVF this month / Am chasing appointment with consultant as I am not sure whether I can go for FET immediately.
Also not sure how safe to do PGT on these embryos of first cycle.
Will update my status.

@Vanpit I am currently at the priory too. I wonder if we have crossed paths in the waiting room! Are you NHS or self funded? Can I ask how many times they scanned you during the stimming stage?

Hi
Nice to know you are at priory. I am on short protocol, 3 times before egg retrieval. Self funded as NHS will not fund if we have one child. Good luck for the further treatment. Stay positive.
