Known donor insemination

So we’re starting the journey of ivf with my eggs and a known donor sperm. My question is has anyone used a known donor sperm and self inseminated at home rather than use a clinic?

@Honeybee12345 There are lots of legal implications to home insemination, so I would proceed very cautiously if you do go down this route and make sure you are well informed about the implications for parental rights and responsibilities. Similarly, in a clinic setting you know for certain there are no STIs and that the sperm is of a good quality, so I would insist upon a STI screening and sperm analysis. I also would not proceed unless you were 100% confident you knew someone’s family medical history and how many other children they may have conceived (very different if you’re using a friend compared to someone you have found online for instance)
