Ivf due date

Good afternoon all, Today I had my viability scan after a successful IVF transfer, the scan showed a heartbeat which was a relief but it measured me at 6 weeks 4 days rather than 7 weeks 3 days which Is what I should technically be. I wouldn’t worry if this was a natural pregnancy but as I had my transfer on a specific date I dont understand how the due date can be 6 whole days behind what it should be. This is my first pregnancy so would be interested to hear similar stories that hopefully turned out ok. Thanks

@Lay1990 at this stage everything is so tiny that it is easy to make an error with measurements. They will take more measurements at the 12 week scan and this is when your due date will be determined. Mine moved by a day at the 12 week scan despite being IVF. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

@Orangeteapot I’d be interested to know why too as going through ivf myself.

I think im going to book a private scan for a couple of weeks time to see if the little bean is growing well, just to put my mind at ease as waiting for the 12 week scan is going to be so difficult im so impatient. Will update if they have any useful info! 💫

Aw so sorry to read this @Lay1990 it must be crushing.

Take some time to look after yourself and carry on when you feel up to it (not trying to sound insensitive, I mean it sounds like that is your plan).

So sorry @Lay1990
