Has anyone transferred their frozen embryos to have the FET cycle at a different clinic? Can anyone recommend a clinic from personal experience? (I'm near Surrey/Hampshire/Sussex borders)
I am an NHS funded PGD patient (I have muscular dystrophy, hence the pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) and I've been under Guys Hospital ACU since early 2017. I have had two FETs, two pregnancies, two miscarriages and I have one final embryo left.
I went back to the clinic for the first time since 2019 to get the ball rolling on my final FET at the beginning of March (large gap due to covid + two accidents + then having to get my house wheelchair adapted as the result of the previous). Due to the two miscarriages they did some blood tests to check there isn't anything untoward going on. I first followed up at the end of March when I'd heard nothing, a whole month later i got access to the results which, as a non medical professional mean nothing to me. One of the comments from the doctor was about repeating investigations so since then i have been chasing up what my results actually mean with no success. I had issues with them not ordering my meds in a previous cycle and the whole poor communication is just so stressful.
You read reviews of the doctor/s in their private capacity and even guys in a private capacity and it makes them sound like they're so much more attentive that it does simply make you feel like if you're NHS you just don't matter. I feel really let down and just no longer have any confidence in them. I am now 39 and feel like this is my last chance and I really need to make it count.
So......recommendations please.
