Cold Sore during TWW

Hi all

Im in my TWW and have had a frozen embryo transfer. Iv broke out in cold sores and it's only the day after transfer. I've used zovirax but then thought to ask my clinic if it was safe to do so as the pharmacist said speak to consultant. I've emailed clinic and they've said if its safe to use during pregnancy can do. But on the leaflet of medication it says consult with Dr or pharmacist if pregnant trying to get pregnant or breast feeding 🤔 what the hell do I do with that? I thought my clinic should have spoken to someone and got me this information rather than leaving it to do my own research

I suffered badly with coldsores throughout pregnancy. My GP wouldn’t prescribe any medication but they advised me to take Zovirax.
A more natural remedy they prescribed was liquorice lip balm 🤷‍♀️.
I practically used zovirax every day from 6 months onwards as the sores were constant.
Not sure if this would react differently during the TWW.

@Sherr33 How unhelpful is that!? I’d phone them again and tell them exactly what the leaflet says. You have enough going on without trying to make decisions like this.
